Hi I'm Lora
For over 15 years, I have worked as an Art Therapist in a variety of establishments, ranging from private practice, First Nations, federal agencies, and community based organisations. My approach to art therapy is one of empowerment and holistic health; to work with you towards ways of enabling your own inner strengths and resources to help you make shifts towards personal wellness, in relationships at home and at work, and the changes that you seek to leading a more fulfilling life.
I completed my graduate studies at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute earning a Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy, hold a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, am a Registered member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and a Registered Master Therapeutic Counsellor with ACCT. I have further specialised education in Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Trauma Recovery.
Some Areas of Focus
Trauma & PTSD | Life Transitions & Motherhood | Burn Out & Self Identity | Depression & Loss | Creative Self Care
Expressive art therapy is the best mode of personal growth therapy I have encountered. I love how nurtured I feel finding and confirming my way in the world with gentle, respectful expressive art therapy.
