Lora McNeil RCAT, MTC, BFA
Hi I'm Lora
For more than fifteen years, I’ve been invited into the tender spaces where people come to make sense of themselves through creativity. Art therapy has taken me into private studios, community circles, federal programs, and the heart of First Nations partnerships—each one a reminder that healing is not a straight line, but a living rhythm we learn to listen to.

My work is rooted in the belief that we each carry an inner knowing that never disappears, even in the hardest seasons. Sometimes words can’t reach it, but colour can. Shape can. Clay, gesture, mark-making, and imagination can. In session, we slow down and let the creative process speak—gently, honestly, in its own time. Together, we honour what’s resilient, reveal what’s ready to shift, and nurture what is longing to grow.

I trained first as an artist at Emily Carr University, then as an art therapist at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute, and have continued to deepen my practice through Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Trauma Recovery. These approaches offer a grounded container for expression—for children, teens, and adults—whether we are tending to the nervous system, reconnecting to story, or creating space for a life that feels more fully lived.
